Falcons Shut Out LaGrange on Homecoming

MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon on homecoming weekend as the Pfeiffer men's soccer team took on LaGrange University. The Falcons came away with a 4-0 victory for their second win of the season. Pfeiffer scored three of their four goals in the first half and outshot LaGrange 23-5 for the game.

Pfeiffer's goal scorers included Arian Cindahl, Caleb Bratager, Darwin Ramirez, and Stenson Croom. With win, the Falcons improved to 2-4 on the year, while LaGrange falls to 2-4-1. Pfeiffer goalie Tomas Correa improved his record to 2-3 on the season.

The scoring started in the 20th minute when Arian Cindahl scored on a cross from Chris Brown to put the Falcons ahead 1-0. Just eleven minutes later, Caleb Bratager scored on an assist from Cindahl to put Pfeiffer ahead 2-0. The third goal of the first half came one minute later on a Darwin Ramirez goal in the 32nd minute.

The final goal came during the second half off a header by Stenson Croom off a corner kick by Jaime Henriquez. This capped off a dominating performance by the Falcons throughout the day in the 4-0 rout.

Pfeiffer's next match comes on the road against Ferrum College next Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
