FERRUM, VA -- The Pfeiffer men's soccer team (3-4) posted its second straight four-goal victory as they defeated Ferrum (7-3) by a final score of 5-1 on Wednesday night. Chris Brown and Caleb Bratager each netted two goals in the dominating victory.
Pfeiffer's offense was firing on all cylinders as the Falcons outshot Ferrum 31-10 in the blowout victory, easily Pfeiffer's highest total of the season. The previous high was 23 against LaGrange last Saturday as the offense is starting to heat up for the Falcons.
Bratager, who scored two goals in two total matches last week, continued his goal-scoring ways as the freshman netted the first goal of the game in the 11th minute with Brown being credited with the assist. Ferrum knotted the score at 1 in the 50th minute before the Falcons responded with four consecutive goals.
Felix Erana was credited with two assists on the night and Brown scored two goals in a 2:50 span to seal the victory late in the second half.
Tomas Correa made four stops to garner his third victory of the season.
Pfeiffer looks to stay hot with a weekend matchup at Covenant up next. The match is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday afternoon.
