Pfeiffer Men's Soccer Drops 2-0 Road Decision at William Peace

Cary, N.C. (Sept. 23, 2018) – The Pfeiffer University men's soccer team traveled to Cary, N.C. on Sunday evening, falling to host William Peace University, 2-0 at the WakeMed Soccer Park.

After battling to a scoreless first half, William Peace pushed two goals past the Pfeiffer goalkeeper in a span of just 32 seconds.

The Pacers' Ivan Ponce delivered the 1-0 lead at the 50:05 mark and struck again at 50:37 from 18 yards out to provide the 2-0 score.

Pfeiffer's Caleb Bratager managed three shots on the afternoon while teammates Caz Dubrowski and Jonathan Quintero each had two.

WPU held a 21-10 advantage on shots while Pfeiffer goaltender David Chavarria managed seven saves in the loss.

Pfeiffer drops to 3-3 overall while William Peace improves to 4-1-2.
