New York, N.Y. – The Pfeiffer University track and field teams opened the first day of the ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at the historic Armory Track and Field in Manhattan.
Day one saw four Falcon's in action. Tiffany Bartholomew had a record-setting day in the women's pentathlon scoring 2286 points and besting her previous school record by 36 points. The pentathlon consists of a 60m hurdle race, high jump, shot put, long jump and the 800m. Bartholomew had personal bests in the 60m hurdles, and the 800m run.
Senior Sean Bryant turned in the fourth fastest time in the 60m dash prelims to advance to Saturday's final which will take place at 11:00 a.m. Sophomore Keyshawn Campbell also competed in the 60m dash prelims. Campbell ran a personal best time of 7.22 but was unable to advance to the finals.
Freshman Kenan Waltower also turned in the fourth-fastest time in the 60m hurdles prelims to advance to Saturday's final which will take place at 10:00 a.m.. Waltower clocked in with a time of 8.64.
The two-day meet will conclude Saturday with the rest of the Falcon's competing in the day's events. Live results can be followed at the link below.
