The Pfeiffer women's basketball team (7-1) took home a Sunday afternoon victory as they defeated Methodist (1-11) by the score of 87-59. The Falcon's win streak improves to three games, while Methodist dropped their seventh game in a row. Sydni Bickford led the way for Pfeiffer with 20 points, including going 5-11 from behind the arc.
It was all Falcons from the get-go, as they outscored the Monarchs 23-11 in the first quarter and never looked back. The Pfeiffer bench made big contributions, as both Aaliyah May and Regan Allen scored 11 points each, while Kaylee O'Dwyer chipped in with 6 points. For the game, the Falcons bench scored 50 of the teams 87 points.
Christian Sanders led the way for Methodist with 11 points off the bench. Kayla Goldsmith contributed 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Monarchs.
Pfeiffer shot an impressive 45 percent from the three-point line on the game. The Falcons also forced 22 turnovers for the game, and a total of 48 in their past two games combined. Pfeiffer also out-rebounded Methodist 57-42 on the contest.
Pfeiffer hits the court again on Wednesday, January 10 as they travel to NC Wesleyan for a 7:30 matchup.
