A pair of former Pfeiffer women's lacrosse teammates will square off Sunday with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line as Campbell takes on High Point in the Big South Conference Tournament Championship game at noon. The game will air on ESPN3 and feature Lyndsey Boswell's top-seeded High Point squad taking on Dawn Easley's second-seeded Campbell team.
Boswell ('04) is Pfeiffer's all-time leader in points and was inducted to the Pfeiffer Sports Hall of Fame in 2013. Boswell's 295 career points are 72 higher than Melissa Anderson's second place mark and her coaching career has been just as prolific. Boswell built the Panthers program in 2009 and won four conference championships in the program's first six seasons. High Point is making its second consecutive appearance in the championship match and fourth in the five-year history of Big South Women's Lacrosse.
Easley ('05) was a teammate of Boswell's in Misenheimer and recorded 100 career points and her 169 career ground balls place her fourth in program history. Just three years after graduating, Easley assumed the role of head coach of the Falcons and turned in a prolific run. From 2008-13, Easley accumulated a 58-31 record and .652 winning percentage while leading the Falcons to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2013. Easley left the village to take over Campbell's program and has the Camels in their first-ever appearance in the title game.
