Pfeiffer Baseball Falls to LaGrange in Series Finale
LaGrange, Ga. (April 7, 2019) –Homestanding LaGrange jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back, as they took the rubber game of the USA South baseball series over Pfeiffer University, 13-5.

Pfeiffer – 22-6, 13-5 USA South
LaGrange bolted to a 7-0 lead on Pfeiffer by scoring a run in the second and three runs in both the third and fourth innings. The Falcons were able to get into the scoring column in the fifth inning on a Kirby Lambert RBI single that scored Mason Striplin, who reached on single of his own two batters earlier.
LaGrange then plated six runs in their half of the inning to take the 13-1 lead.
The Falcons did manage to push a pair of runs across in the seventh and eighth innings to provide the eventual 13-5 final.
In the seventh, Lambert hit a double down the right field line, driving in both Zach Ferrell and Bryan Kowalski. The Falcons runs in the eighth inning were courtesy of a Ferrell single and a Striplin bases-loaded walk.
Pfeiffer could not mount a comeback in the ninth, as the Panthers sat the Falcons down in order to take the 13-5 win.

The Falcons will step out of conference for the next game as they travel to Guilford for a 3:00 p.m. game on Wednesday, April 10.
