LAGRANGE, GA -- The Pfeiffer men's basketball team (17-4) completed a weekend sweep thanks to a 114-97 defeat of LaGrange (12-10) on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers have won three of the past four USA South Tournament Championships but trailed for most of the afternoon.

With Calhoun's 27 point performance tonight, the senior moves into 13th all-time in career scoring with 1,559 points. Calhoun is just 65 points shy of moving into the top-10 in scoring in program history.
Blake Smith was also outstanding for Pfeiffer as the freshman had the best game of his young career. Smith dropped a career-high 18 points and went 6-of-9 from beyond the arc, while adding a pair of steals.
LaGrange was led by Alex Bonner who scored a game-high 31 points.

The Falcons converted 16 3-pointers and shot just under 40 percent from downtown. On the defensive end, Pfeiffer held LaGrange to just 26 percent shooting from 3-point land.
Pfeiffer led by as much as 25 points in the second half and cruised to their fourth victory in their last five games.
The Falcons will return to action on Wednesday evening as they host Methodist at 7:30 p.m. Earlier this season, Pfeiffer defeated Methodist by a final score of 106-85.
