Pembroke, NC – The Pfeiffer men's and women's track and field team opened their outdoor campaign at the Braves Classic, held on the campus of UNC Pembroke.
Sophomore sprinter Keshon Roman continued his hot streak of performances, breaking a school record in the 200m running a time of 22.06 and finishing 4th. Roman also broke the school record in the 100m running a 10.99 which was also good for 4th.
Sophomore Xavier Huntley narrowly missed a school record in the 400m. His time of 50.82 was good for 6th place.
Other notable performances for the men included:
· Freshman Devon Williams finished 5th in the 800m running a time of 2:01.14.
· Sophomore Tevin Colson finished 5th in the 400m Hurdles running a time of 59.47.
On the women's side, Jayde Kemp ran a 5:31.44 in the 1500m, which was good for 8th place.
The Falcons will return to action next Friday as they travel to Rock Hill, South Carolina for the Winthrop Invitational, held on the campus of Winthrop University.
