DANBURY, CONN. – Pfeiffer senior midfielder Molly O'Friel has been named the ECAC South Player of the Week the league announced this afternoon. O'Friel wins the award after an outstanding three-game week last week.
O'Friel helped lead the Falcons to a 3-0 week by tallying 21 goals and seven assists. The senior posted the third-highest point total in a single game in team history when she had eight goals and five assists against LaGrange on Sunday. O'Friel added 12 ground balls, 21 draw controls and six caused turnovers in the three games. O'Friel's 21 goals came on just 32 shots.
This was the first week for the ECAC Spring Player of the Week awards.
O'Friel and the Falcons return to action this evening as they host Salem at 6 p.m.
