MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Standout senior Molly O'Friel was selected to play in the IWLCA Division III Senior All-Star game as announced by the organization this afternoon. The game will take place on June 2 at 2:30 p.m. on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. Admission to the game is free and it will be streamed on IWLCA-tv.com.
O'Friel became the first player in program history to record 100 points in a single season as the Chesapeake Beach, MD native finished the year with 113 points and 91 goals, breaking the program record in both categories. O'Friel's outstanding senior season saw her also break the record for most goals in a game with 12 against Methodist. O'Friel also broke the team mark for draw controls with 98.
O'Friel was just named Second Team All-ECAC and was also twice selected as the ECAC South Player of the Week.
O'Friel is one of 22 seniors selected to compete on the Division III South team.
