– Homestanding Meredith College took sole possession of first place in the USA South with a 24-0 win over the Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
Holly Hite and Lilia Cruz led the Avenging Angels with seven points apiece. Hite led all with seven goals and 15 draw controls, and Cruz combined five goals with a pair of assists. Both players finished with three ground balls and combined for three caused turnovers.

Pfeiffer managed just five shots on the afternoon, with Hailey Metzger leading the way with two shots.  Pfeiffer goalkeeper Sam Hanlon managed 14 saves for the Falcons.
