MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- All four seniors scored on Senior Day as the Pfeiffer women's soccer team (7-4) dominated William Peace (1-8) by a final score of 8-0 on Saturday afternoon at N.E. Lefko Field. The Falcons erupted for six second half goals to blow away the visiting Pacers.
The scoring opened in the 18th minute off a William Peace own goal put Pfeiffer on the board. Kelley scored in the 35th minute as the opening period ended with Pfeiffer holding a 2-0 advantage.
The floodgates opened in the second half with Walker scoring twice in a 10:10 span. In the final 10 minutes of the match, Pfeiffer tacked on four more goals. Freshman Haley Zoltoski would be the only non-senior to score on the day as the defender netted her first career goal in the 82nd minute.
Freshman Aranza Gallegos was credited with two assists on the afternoon and Kelley added an assist on Pfeiffer's final goal of the match.
Pfeiffer posted a season-high 37 shots on the day, compared to just two from the visitors. The Falcons took 16 of the 17 total corner kicks on the afternoon.
With the win, Pfeiffer has won six of their last seven matches. The Falcons return to action on Monday when they travel to Charlotte to take on Queens at 6 p.m. Last season, the Falcons defeated the Royals 1-0.
