Women's Soccer Takes 2-1 Win Over Edgewood in Dallas

Pfeiffer Women's Soccer Beats Edgewood 2-1 at UT-Dallas

Richardson, Texas - (Sept. 14, 2019) –
The Pfeiffer University women's soccer team made their way to the greater Dallas area and took a 2-1 win over Edgewood at the University of Texas at Dallas.

The Falcons improved to 3-1 on the season following a pair of goals by Dayanna Riera (Bronx, N.Y.)

Riera's first score of the afternoon came in the 19th minute when she received a long pass from goalkeeper
Kaley Hyatt (St. Cloud, Fla.), then beating Edgewood goalkeeper Grace Wildeboer.

Less than six minutes later, Riera struck again, this time after receiving a feed from Tracy Torrez (Orlando, Fla.) to put the Falcons up 2-0, scoring her fifth career goal.

Edgewood would cut the lead to 2-1 in the 34th minute when Lizzy Langer scored past Hyatt.

Neither team would score in the second half, with Pfeiffer taking the 2-1 neutral site win.

Goalkeeper Kaley Hyatt made three saves, improving her season tally to 3-1.

The Falcons will conclude their trip to the Lone Star State on Sunday night by taking on the host UT-Dallas Comets at 8:00 p.m.
