Pfeiffer Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision at Guilford
Greensboro, N.C. (Sept. 4, 2019) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball team fell in their first road matchup of the season, falling in a 3-0 nonconference tilt at Guilford on Wednesday night.

Guilford limited the Falcons to just a .171 hitting percentage while the Falcons committed 15 attacking errors in the loss. Guilford managed a .337 hitting percentage in their first win of the season.
Individually, Pfeiffer sophomore Alonna Clouse (Harrisburg, N.C.) led the way with 14 kills while teammate Bri Weber (Jesup, Iowa) managed 10 kills. Setter Angelina Fardella (Harrisburg, N.C.) had another productive match in leading the Falcons in assists with 28.
Defensively, Emma Gray Beacham (Laurinburg, N.C.) had a team-best 16 digs while fellow junior teammate Myasia Jones (Hurlock, Md.) had a pair of blocks.
The Falcons will travel to Atlanta to participate in a tri-match hosted by Agnes Scott College on Saturday, Sept. 7. Pfeiffer will take on the host Scotties at Noon and will follow up with a 2:00 p.m. match with Berea College.
